WALL, WALLS -
Isaac Wall(s)who moved to Arkansas around 1850 from Alabama listed his place of birth in
1803 as Georgia, but it appears that he may have been born in either Florida or in Virginia. It
is possible he assumed this name, since he may have been Indian (possibly Powhatan). Any
leads would be helpful.

PAXTON -
I am trying to figure out the genealogy of Madge Paxton who in 1884 won 3 awards at the
Rockbridge Co. Fair, one for "best specimen of lady handicraft." She could possibly be the
daughter of James Gardiner Paxton, in which case she would have died in 1899. Does anyone
know for sure? The info. about the fair is from "Artists and Artisans of Rockbridge County,
Virginia."

PACK, THOMPSON -
My ancestor, James Thompson, was born @1760 in Maryland. He married a Nancy (Pack,
we think). Nancy may have been from Virginia because at least one of their children was born
there. James and Nancy moved to North Carolina sometime around the turn of the century. James's
1814 will is recorded in Rowan Co. What I'm really trying to find is where James came from. And I
thought marriage information might provide some information. Thanks,
