CARTER, FARR, NEEDHAM -
I was born in Roda Virginia 7/14/1949 I have two older sisters also born there. My mother was
Edith Farr 3/27/1929 and my fathers was Henry James Needham. My grandmother was
Hazel Carter and grandfather was Polk Farr. He was a miner there and was killed in
a mining accident in 1929 my mother was 6 days old. All I know is he was 20 when he died and was
born in Tennessee. I am trying to find any information on my family . My mother died 12/15/1999
and I have never had contact with Henry Needham. I have some pictures and a couple letters
from my oldest living great aunt Helen . I hope there is a way to find anyone that may be family
or know of my family.
My mother moved to Chicago when I was about four and never talked about
the past. It seemed too hard for her, being raised by a stepfather who never wanted her. She left
school around the third year. Any help or direction would be great. Thank you

I am looking for an Edward Rigsby who was in, I think, Pr. William Co., Va. I found where
in a Will for William Carr in 1790 he listed lands purchased this way Edward Rigsby
to Daniel Payne to William Bennett to William Carr.
Would love to find
information on this William Rigsby. Any clue or help is appreciated. Thanks

I found Walter Jones on Quit Rent Rolls 1704 in Essex Co., VA, The other Jones on
same Quit Rent Rolls 1704 in Essex Co., VA were: John Jones, Rice Jones, Richard
Jones, William and William Jones#2. I know my GGG Grandfather was John Jones b.
1784/85 VA and D. 1859 Franklin Co., AL. His wife: Martha ? Jones b. 1790/91 VA- d.
1870/1880/ Franklin Co., AL. John and Martha's son: William "Indian Bill" Jones b. 1818
TN. d. 1876 Franklin Co., AL. He married #1 Miss Tharp in Franklin Co., AL. He married #2
Emeline Covington in Frnaklin Co., AL- MY LINEAGE
Son of Wm Jones and Emeline
Covington: James Walter Jones b. 1860 Franklin Co., AL and d. 1924? Franklin Co.,
AL.- my G Grandfather. If anyone is related to these JONESes please email me if you can go
back further than JOHN JONES b. 1784/85 VA and d. 1859 Franklin Co., AL and married

COLLIER, ROTTENBERRY -
My gr., gr., gr., gr., grandfather was born in Mecklenburg County, Va. Presley Calhoun
Rottenberry, Jan. 31, 1793. Served in the war of 1812 under Capt. Robert Hubbards
Volunteers, Moved to Orange County, N.C. and married Elizabeth Ann Collier, Jan. 17th,
1818. Then settled in Bibb County, Alabama on a land grant plantation. I believe that his father
was Charles Rottenberry, kin to Henry Rottenberry of Mecklenburg County, Va. I
cannot seem to make the father/ grandfather connection. Can you look at your genealogy records

Hi I'm looking for William Richard Gibson Sr. birth Death & who his parents were. I know
William was living in Rockingham Co Va. He married Mary Elizabeth Reeves Miller. they had
one son William Richard Jr. He was born 1850. I think Sr was born around 1825 or 26. Any help
sure would be appreciated. He is my brick wall.

I am searching for a Leanore (Cook) Ross, married to William D. Ross. They
were living in Falls Church, VA around 1967. Her Mother was Jane Eboch who lived with
Leanore (daughter) until her death, July 1, 1967. I believe her Mother, Jane, was my 3rd Cousin.
If anyone can help me locate information on Leanore Ross, to possibly contact a family

ARNOLD, BLAIR -
Am searching for William Franklin Arnold, he was born in 1890 in Virginia. I do not know
what county or city in Virginia. He died in Ohio in 1934, but I don't know where. If I could find
his birth certificate, I would jump for joy! All I know is he married my grandmother, and her
maiden name was Nora Blair. He died long before I was born, so I never knew him. I'm still
searching for his death certificate in Ohio, but haven't had much luck. I would appreciate any
