Kilburn Cemetery
From East 5th St. N. in Big Stone Gap Va, Turn onto 2nd Ave E. Go
approx,
1mile then turn right onto W. 4th ST. N. Cross the RR Track
and turn Left
onto Orr St. go approx 1tenth of a mile & the cem. is on the right.
Its
not fenced or nothing,
its open field approx. .7 acre. It has one Stone there.
Vernon Pleasant who lived next door before he died, said that he pulled
up
the Markers (Rocks) so
that he could mow the field, he said there were no
names on the stones or dates, (except the one below).
He said that when the
railroad was being first built that they used that lot to bury (mostly
foreign)
Chinese RailRoad
workers, who died working & had no family Cemetary's.
